I was born in in England, but grew up in New Zealand (and my mother is Irish, so I am a citizen of all three countries!).

Greenstone, or "Pounamu" in Maori, is a precious stone found in New Zealand.

The Greenstone Pendant you see in the photo belonged to my Dad.

He passed away eleven years ago, and I have looked after the pendant ever since.

I mainly wear it when I visit my Mum and my Brother and Sisters in New Zealand, which is not as often as I would like.

My Dad, together with my Mum, moved our family of five children from Duffield in England to Gisborne in New Zealand, when I was eight years old.

12,000 miles to the other side of the world.

To a brand new country, a brand new culture, a brand new climate!

The older I get, the more I realise how brave my parents were.

So I have named my business “Greenstone Fit ” to honour them.
